Pomegranates
The pomegranate is a fruit shrub or small tree with vibrant red flowers. The fruit itself is about the size of a grapefruit with a tough, leathery reddish skin. Inside are numerous juicy, tart arils (the edible part) wrapped around seeds, kind of like a jewel-toned crown. Pomegranates are not only delicious but also rich in vitamins and antioxidants.
